The art and science of Astrology, aside from its predictive attributes, is a symbolic and archetypal system, which explained its appeal to psychiatrist Carl Jung. Many present day students of Depth Psychology see this value and in fact it’s how I become so enamored with Western astrology many years ago. More recently the Vedic mythologies and meanings led me into the colorful world of Joytish, (Vedic astrology) and it is because of their multi layers of depth and meaning that I include their Sanskrit names and descriptions.
